ORD Speech
Not suprisingly, I've been thinking about that these past few days. Considering there's only about ~11 weeks or so left.
This is what it's gonna sound like:
"First, I wanna thank all the crew commanders (especially Uncle Tan) for guiding me along the way and correcting my mistakes, and boosting my confidence during patrols. And also, not forgetting the senior sergeants and men who also gave me alot of useful tips along the way. And to everyone else, thanks for making my one and a half years in this base memorable and enjoyable.
That said, there's one more thing I'd like to say- I feel that some of us in Team Delta are too judgemental. I think everyone deserves at least a few chances, and we should be helping each other out. Motivation and encouragement is better than pressure. So I hope that the team will be more forgiving, and try not to pressure each other too much, maybe this will help to bring the team closer together.
That's all I have to say. Keep in touch."
Of course, this is assuming that I will be ORDing in Delta and not in Bravo. If I'm really gonna be stuck in Bravo, I guess I'll have a quiet out-of-the-limelight ORD. Or if I have to say something, I'd probably say something like: "Thanks for letting me experience the culture in this team, which is a side of Team Delta that never existed. Or rather I've never seen."
That said, what remains to be seen is whether I'll have the guts to say the bolded paragraph above. I guess I'll have to say it somehow, I mean, its gonna be the last fucking thing I'll ever be able to say during a Team briefing right?
