I think I'm crazy. I stayed up till 4am last night just to catch a re-run of Conspiracy Theory on HBO, making it the 3rd time I watched that movie. I'm a fan of great plots, and more importantly, on-screen chemistry. I'm not so much into action or slapstick humour or anything of that sort. A stellar cast just does it for me. Take for example, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke in Gattaca. Awesome. Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts made a great pair in Conspiracy Theory.. I mean their acting was great man. The movie has just the right mix of action, suspense and romance. Just makes your heart melt. Well, what can I say? It is never unqualified to say that any movie that has Julia Roberts in it is of A-Grade quality.

Anyhow, happy Chinese New Year to all my Chinese friends!

Today I came to an epiphany that my room was simply too filthy to live in anymore, and being the impulsive person I am (as much as I deny it), I decided to do some springcleaning. Basically I cooped myself in the room for the whole day today. Along the way I unearthed several interesting photos of my past that brought memories flooding back, and so I thought I'd do a little collage for everyone's viewing pleasure. Viewer discretion is advised of course.

Enjoy:

A Very Birdy Secret

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It is indeed a well-guarded secret that this was how Shiyun looked like when she was young. Unfortunately, she ran away from her family in the zoo when she was a kid, and started living with humans. What a naughty bird! So now you know why Shiyun has pigeon-ish features.

Dementia

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A photo of two demented girls named Shiyun and Huizhen, who suddenly gave me a teddy bear named Dementia one day, in an attempt to infect me as well. The demented bear truly has a crazed mind of its own, cause it seems to have disappeared from my mirror where I left it and has gone into hiding somewhere!

College Scandal

What looks like a harmless photo of an s23 mahjong gathering reveals juicy details on close scrutiny! Look right in the middle and you can see.. *gasp* Huiling secretly making a move on Yew Tze! They look so happy together. What a scandal!

An Even Bigger College Scandal

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It was a quiet evening, and in some secluded lecture theatre in NJ, a couple named Huiling and Shiwen were making out to their hearts' content. Little did they know that the paparazzi were behind the curtains, snapping away using their flashless digital cameras!

Jungle Freeze

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

An ad for Fish&Co's Jungle Freeze gone wrong. By the time they took this photo, the model (Jiayan) was looking very blur indeed, and the guy (me) had almost finished his freeze.

College Shapeshifters

The print on top was taken in 2003, the one on the bottom taken around two years later. As Han commented, "Over the two years of college, we've all grown slightly better-looking". No doubt. Han looks pretty chio in the second print, and so does Teo with her longer hair, and I'm glad I got rid of my horrible hairstyle of the past.

A Case Of The Prince Turning Into An Ugly Frog

That's me when I was six on top, and me when I was eighteen on the bottom. How did such a charming, cute and innocent little boy turn into the fat and ugly lump of crap on the right? Beats me.

-THE END-

LOL. The people in these photos are so gonna kill me.

Wow.

The mostly horrid year of 2005 is over.

I know I shouldn't dwell on dark thoughts and remain sad/ depressed forever.

And I won't.

Therefore, I shall not sound like a miser anymore.

In fact, several good things have happened over the past few days.

1. The three rings have been forged. What a way to start the new year.

2. The cold war between Gilbert and I ended, because he finally realised that he was in the wrong and apologized to me. Reaffirmation of friendship is always good.

3. 2006 is the year I ORD. OMG! Can you imagine? A CIVILIAN CHRISTMAS for me this year!
See? Even things in the workplace are looking up. I should feel blessed.

That said, I'm not gonna make any resolutions for the new year.

Because I never fulfil any of the resolutions I make anyways. So yea.

Well.. I just wanna wish everyone a happy 2006 (as cliche as it sounds). Remember to start the new year on the right footing! :)
